The Kavod v’Nichum Information & Training (KNIT) Resource Center threads together the wealth of resources available to the Chevra Kadisha movement on issues related to Jewish practices in dying, death, and mourning. The KNIT Center identifies and organizes written, visual, and people resources and helps make them available for use to leaders, Chevra Kadisha groups and Jewish communities at large. It also identifies gaps in resources and attempts to fill them. Its goal is to help knit the movement together to produce a whole cloth of Kavod Hamet (honoring the dead) and Nichum Aveilim (comforting the mourners).
